Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is now available for sale at $149.99 through AT&T
In the aftermath of last weeks head-to-head launch of the Motorola DROID 2 and BlackBerry Torch 2, it would've been very difficult to attract customers to other handsets that don't quite set the bar higher for their respective platforms. Enter the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, once deemed as a top-end Android contender, which just started to go on sale through AT&T for the 2-year on-contract price of $149.99 – just a tad under that gold standard of $199.99. AT&T's Android lineup has been increasing of late with devices like the HTC Aria, Samsung Captivate, and also Dell Streak making their presence. Even though the handset is packing the older Android 1.6 build, it features some nice hardware under the hood – such as a 4” WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 8.1-megapixel auto-focus camera with an LED flash, and of course Sony Ericsson's unique user interface.

Finally.! I'm glad that AT&T has finally released this phone on their network. Now AT&T has the only two Android phones I'd ever want, the Samsung Captivate and the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10. Even though the XPERIA X10 comes with 1.6, I'm sure it can be updated to 2.2 in the future. Plus, I just love the TimeScape and MediaScape UI that SE created.

Who cares if the O.S is 1.6 i can still get all the same apps a 2.0 OS can but my only downside is i play games and have a nesdoid and snes rom and you can't play much games b/c it not multi-touch other than that she sexy

What? No multi-touch, no landscape keyboard, laggy interface, 1.6??? This thing blows!

It does have landscape keyboard built in at least my overseas version does or you can just download swift, 1.6 can easily be upgraded when the times come but the multi-touch blow only a little b/c i can't ply my nesoid or super nes roms to perfection other than that it awesome
