Some HTC Droid Incredible users report getting updated to Android 2.3.4
You might remember that a couple of days ago we reported that HTC had confirmed that the HTC Droid Incredible would be updated to Android 2.3.4 this month. Already, just 2 days into September, some users of the handset are receiving the OTA update. Thanks to some pictures of actual Droid Incredible units that received the new OS build that were obtained by Phandroid, it looks like a legitimate rollout of the update has begun.
While some HTC Droid Incredible users have received the update, we are still not sure if this is just a test which would mean a delay before the next round of updates is sent out, or if this is the beginning of a staggered release of Gingerbread for the Droid Incredible. Regardless, those who own the device should keep a sharp eye out for the update which would make the HTC Droid Incredible the oldest Android model to run Android 2.3.4.
