"Rage" first person shooter expected to keep things fresh for the iPhone & iPad
Mobile gaming will continue to penetrate the market and change the perception of how some developers go about making their thoughts become a reality. With the iPhone currently seeing plenty of attention on the mobile gaming front, it’s no reason why Doom co-creator John Carmack intends on getting his latest id Software epic into the hands of iPhone and future iPad owners. Despite it not yet launching for consoles, the soon to be released first person shooter will eventually make its debut to gamers that call the iPhone their mobile gaming console of choice. Although there is no official word on its expected release, the upcoming E3 game show will probably shed some light on the development for the iPhone. If there’s any indication from the available screenshots of the game so far, Rage looks to enthrall players into its post apocalyptic setting. When it came to the knowledge of working with the venerable smartphone, Carmack recently said, ”Apple doesn’t give us anything ahead of time either, so haven’t put hands on it ourselves, but we certainly are expecting to try to have our Rage title for the iPhone, iPad, whatever, working across there.” Let’s just hope that things eventually start to roll along in its development as it faces a long road in really captivating iPhone users out there.
