Opera Mobile 9.5 now for UIQ, comes with widgets
Opera Mobile 9.5 is one of the best browsers for mobile phones on the market, but if you happen to hear about it for the first time, please check our hands-on. The second beta comes with Opera Widgets application and five preinstalled ones, but you can also add more by using the add widget button, which brings you to the Opera webpage. The included mini applications are AccuWeather (brings a weather forecast of the selected region), Analog Clock, Bubbles (the same idea as the Bubble Breaker game), Shopping list (does exactly what its name implies, but requires my.opera.com account) and Twitter.

Opera has also released a new version of the Opera Widget SDK, which includes the company’s Dragonfly debugger and a widget manager for on-device testing. With this said, it is also good to mention that Opera has launched "X Widget Challenge" with $10,000 of cash prizes for the best cross-platform applications.

Now the owners of UIQ can also get a taste of the Opera Mobile 9.5 as it is available for download for the following devices:  SonyEricsson P1, W960, G700 and G900. It may work on other phones , but so far, this is the official list. Since a widget SDK was released for Symbian S60, it appears that a version of the browser supporting the platform will be released as well.
