Isn't it crazy that the State of the Union is going to be, by far, the second most important event on Wednesday?!?!?! :) Uh-oh. The haters keep knocking me down on votes. Is the SOU that important?

not to get into politics, but Obama really has nothing more he can do when it comes to jobs. This is all about employeer confidence at this point. I mean, the DOW is chillin near 11,000, and I see a hell of a lot of ppl spending cash. Also, the President is trying to get Congress to cooperate w/ eachother, but you have idiot Dems relying on majority to push junk through both the House and Senate, and you have dumbass Repubs who do nothing but throw out sound bites and try to be rebs to anything that has Democrats attached to it.

yea, obama cant do anything about jobs, exept push for mandated health care that raises taxes on businesses and individuals, reducing the amount of $$ they have to HIRE people. Obama doesnt give a crap about you, he only cares about pushing his socialist agenda through while he has a chance... which is thankfully quickly expiring. no, if he cared about jobs, he would have cut taxes across the board which is the only PROVEN method of stimulating growth.. not spending us into oblivion- raising inflation while trying to raise taxes.

@SamTime If it were health issues that kept people from working, I would agree with you. *NO* amt of health care can change work ethic, which is the prob with about 50% or more of the current welfare/unemployment recipients. The other prob is outsourced employment. We pay ppl in other countries to do jobs we can/used to do because they are cheaper. I hate to say it, but because consumers always go for the bottom dollar, we push manufactuers to outsource. Capitalism is killing our country : /

True. They should have included info about the iPhone announcement to go with this. Although, the tablet is going to be available for all wireless carriers so I suppose it is not too much different than a netbook announcement.

I really can't wait to see what this tablet is all about. I'm guessing the main forward thinking aspect might be all those gestures to learn. Other than that, I really have no idea how inovating this thing could get.

If it was not for the CEO than none of this would happen. And you don"t know how involved he is in development. But he takes responcability for everything that rolls out the door good or bad.

CEO do absolutely no development, no marketing and no sales. CEO oversea all operations, true, but to state that this is the most important thing he ever did, is hypocritical and takes away credit from those hundreds that worked hard at getting this tablet up and running. And the tablet is a thing of beauty. But Steve Jobs is a moron and so full of himself. He could be replaced tomorrow .

Jobs is a dictator, and everything I've herad 3rd or 4th or even 100th hand is that he is extremely involved and controlling in his product. Now, that has the benefits of the leaders vision and the detriments of the leaders shortsightedness examples are the iPods attractive simplicity and the iPods corresponding lack of replacement batteries]. The final product has a much greater chance of being successful overall coming out of a committee, rather than out of one mind, but the one mind has a chance of doing something more revolutionary rather than evolutionary. I would give him a lot of credit for the Apple products, that is why I dislike him to the extent that I do: I think that the products are arrogant in telling you what features you want, and have mass appeal to the average user rather than allowing the owner to do what they want with the product that they purchased. Good or bad depending on which side of the tech fence you sit on...

Jobs is important and it is sad that I have more faith in Steve Jobs than President Obama... Obama should have been consulted Steve Jobs upon taking office. In 2008 Americans basically thought they were hiring in a genius instead they went from a member of Skull and Bones to a Sculley, lol... Health care now, health care now....I mean iTablet now, iTablet now!!!
