Images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 leak
Prototypes of the Galaxy Note 3 have been shipped in “very low quantities” for purposes of research and development. Based on the almost clear photos, the corners on this device are quite a bit sharper than what we have seen with the recent wave of Galaxy Mega-this-and-that.

All we have to look at right now are pictures from the front of the device, so we cannot see anything related to the S-Pen. Other than that, the form factor follows Samsung’s established design model.

What might we expect to see in the Galaxy Note 3? Well current rumors point to a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED display (full HD of course), 13MP camera with OIS, and Android 4.3 with a dollop of TouchWiz. For the processor, it is also possible we will see the Note 3 pack an octa-core Exynos 5 CPU or a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU possibly tuned to 2.3GHz.

Samsung will formally unveil the Galaxy Note 3 at IFA in Germany in September. Meanwhile, we expect to learn a lot more about this device before then.

You seem pretty sure of that .... I will say the battle between the note 3 and HTC one max will be interesting. Early rumors of both these devices seem pretty beastly

U can also include xperia zu (togari phablet), sony & htc will battle for the design, while samsung will come face to face with htc fighting for their power and performance...im just a little bit concern wit the 6.44" size of the togari..i think its way too big..

Well it has done it 2 times already. So the third can easoly do it again. It really should be interesting with other competitors like HTC bringing a phablet, but Samsung has years of experience and software goodies in the Note line. It will be hard to beat. But in the end it benefits me and the consumer :)

Screen size? Or the phone overall? Didn't Samsung (or a source from an article on PA) already said that they are working on a 5.9 inch version of the Note 3?

buddy unfortunately it seems bigger. with these thick bezells+5.99" no chance!!! so lets pray: please samsung, surprise us on NOTE III with same size like my NOTE II(no need to be thinner but not wider or longer either)+5.99" FHD(or higher resolution if possible) as you did with S4 after S3. amen - P.S. could you please use the same headset jack with macbook/ipod/iphone bcs i cant use my higher quality headsets with existing one(not compatible buttons, lower sound quality)

Get real, dude. The S4 screen only grew .2 inches from the S3 & the S3 had a decent amount of bezel to get rid of. The Note 2 already has slimmer bezels than the S3. No chance the screen goes from 5.5" to 5.9"+ without the phone getting taller & wider.

Snapdragon used to be terrible in the past, but ever since the Snapdragon S4 Pro, Snapdragon came out top. I think the Snapdragon S800 is the best processor right now. I would prefer snapdragon over exynos because Snapdragon chips are better for tweaking and flashing roms because its open sourced.

You think the Snap 800 is the best processor right now? What are you basing that on? A few synthetic benchmarks you've seen? Your projection for how good it's gonna be? It's not even out yet. It makes no sense to call something that hasn't even come to market "the best".

The new Snapdragons are pretty good. I would prefer that over the 8 core Samsung Exynos processor this time around. Don't think you can post judgement so quick. Things turn around so fast in the phone industry.
Apple could sneak in multiple phone sizes with iOS 7 surprising everyone. Don't underestimate competition; that includes cpu manufactures.

The S800 is going to be beast, S600 is already a beast and has proven to be more power efficient than the Octa by quite long on GSMArena's tests.

also to remember that exynos in s4 gives more battery life than s600 in htc one. However, both provessors are great but I believe, exynos is more future proof and the battery life is likely to become much better with future updates..

Bigger battery, slightly bigger screen, few more colors, beefed up processor, ram and camera what else? A bigger Stylus too? What purpose do these "in crease" serve in terms of "functional utility" as compared to predecessor.

Tell me if i have a S3 why the hell should i buy S4? Same Sungs (read apples) for Note2 --> Note3.

The rule of common sense. Comparing a midrange Galaxy Grand compared to the higher end TX shows an obvious lack of common sense. Judging Samsung based on that shows an even bigger lack of common sense.

Proves that Common sense isn't a comm on commodity these days. Comparing 2 phones that were bought in same price range (diff of around $40 on retail) ... with Grand being released later than TX.

You are lacking a lot of it. you are ignoring the fact that Sony phones drop in price like a brick and the Smasung phone is newer.

Fcat is, the TX along with the T was Sony's flagship. The Galaxy grand is anything but. Their flagship is the Galaxy S series which would be the GS3, not the grand. Common sense, learn how to use it.

Agree I too don't want a "TV" as a phone but I have no issue with these bigger phones existing as long as there are smaller phones still available too buy..I had a s3 which is the biggest I will go right now as it is easily portable and fits in all my pockets etc easily..which is why when I heard the s4 was going to be a 5" I was worried it will be too big but thankfully the s4 turned out be actually tad smaller in both width and thinness while still having the larger screen and battery...I have no issues with screen size getting bigger if it means the device itself doesn't .

Only if Sony was prompt with S/W upgrades they could give a tough competition to SAME-SUNG. Yes they are flat rectangles since 2011 yet 2012 models can be differentiated from 2013 even from a distance.

What has SAME-SUNG done for physical differentiation from 2012 to 2013? Since we don't have carrier subsidies here buying a phone is not same as buying toothpaste as entire money has to be paid upfront.

Go look at a Galaxy Nexus, then a Galaxy Rugby, and then a Galaxy beam, and a Galaxy Active. There is more differentiation between those devices than Sony ever did.

Heck, even all the variations of the GS2 has more differentiation than all of the Sony products and they are all Galaxy S2's.

Have a GNex so yes that was different but then i guess GOOG was more in the driver's seat there. Grand and S3 look the same from even 3 feet and one costs 1.5 times the other. So where's the differentiation for the "Premium" phone. All look the same ... like Zebras that we see on Discovery :D

If you think the GS3 looks the same as the Galaxy Grand you are either blind or retarded, maybe both. And yes the Grand looks obviously the lower end phone to myself and a lot of people.

Here is a tip, everyone sees the world differently, you can't just assume everyone thinks all Samsung products look the same. I think a lot of the Xperia phones look the same at the front but I am not going to call them out for it.

Ok i will not call you a "RETARD or blind or both" for saying all XPERIA phones look the same. That's the difference between you and me. One needs to be selective about choice of words when in a discussion rather than go into epileptic fits and lose control on use of words.

if we see world wide then I think there is no necessity for sony to differentiate their phones. I can bet, many(general people) have not heard what xperia is and how does it look..Sony is still not that big player and even though I read much about sony phones on these sites, i have never seen it live. Its no where in my country..
