Helio Ocean 2 to surface this quarter?
Quiz time. Give us the name of a person, place or thing long departed from this mortal planet that is now in the news. Whoa! Abraham Lincoln is a great answer as our President-Elect follows the fallen leader's trail on the way to being inaugurated. Actually, the answer we were looking for was the Helio Ocean. The second version of this phone could be out by this quarter if reports circulating the internet are accurate. The original version was a quirky device that was certainly a little ahead of the times, with a QWERTY keyboard, Yahoo, Google and Wikipedia search bars and 3G internet access. Heck, the first Ocean was out in 2007 before the first-gen iPhone was released. Virgin Mobile USA gobbled up Helio along with the fewer than 200,000 accounts that had been opened. The Ocean 2 has some rocky seas ahead of it. Still, the device does have a cult following and while the original Ocean was too futuristic for its time, perhaps the new model is right where it should be. Are you thinking of saying "Hello" to Helio?

I am thinking about switching to Helio from AT&T next year. If Helio is still around and the merge into Virgin mobile is painless and completed them Helio has good deals and Virgin Mobile has good service in my area.
