5800 XpressMusic now available in the U.S.
Nokia has announced the U.S. availability of the 5800 XpressMusic in a press-release today. The rumors that the device has made its way to the stores this Wednesday but without a single unit leaving the market turned out true; however, it has finally been put on the shelves. Hopefully, the issue with the speaker of the European/Asian version is not present in the U.S. one, and you won’t end up with a defective unit in your hand.

The first S60 touchscreen smartphone is now available in the U.S. through Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago, nokiausa.com and independent retailers and e-tailers at a price of $399 before taxes and subsidies. This version features 3G at 850/1900 MHz that will only work with AT&T’s 3G network and not with T-Mobile’s one. All other features remain unchanged, when compared to the European model we reviewed earlier.
