iPhone 7s Plus dummy unit captured in live pictures shows its shiny glass back side

With probably about a month away from the official reveal of Apple's new iPhones, leaked information and images continue to add to the puzzle, so it won't be long until we can see the bigger picture here.

Speaking of pictures, it looks like an iPhone 7s Plus dummy unit has been captured in live images. One of the smartphones that will be announced by Apple in September, the iPhone 7s Plus has a glass back instead of “standard” aluminum.

The overall design of the iPhone 7s Plus is not much different from the current model, although we aren't offered a look at the front side of the flagship.

The glass back comes in line with previous reports claiming the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will feature wireless inductive charging, which will allow users to use a charger pad instead of a Lightning cable to recharge their phones.

The glass back is meant to help make this new wireless inductive charging possible without having to add holes in the battery cover. However, since the glass casing is much less efficient at dissipating heat than the traditional aluminum, Apple is expected to add a new component in the form of a graphite layer to shield the 3D Touch sensor.

The good news is the antenna bands, one of the things that made iPhones easy to recognize, have been removed from the upcoming iPhone 7s Plus since the signal gets through the glass back without interference.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8 sometime in September, but the latter might not be available on the market until at least October.

The article never clarified if it's a real phone in the pictures.

higher tech and design means less durability. S8 was the example

I might skip the Note8 and keep my S8+. iPhone is definitely a pass until it can open uber partners mobile website.

The iPhone 8 is gonna be a beast, the basic body will be about the same though. I'm just hoping Apple takes advantage of that screen size. If they do, I may be buying 3 flagships, cause that N8 is coming home to papa.

What would be the point of wasting money buying yourself 3 phones

Some of us just love tech and really don't see it as a waste of money. I myself love both Samsung and Apple, so I always happily have the latest and greatest from both of them. It's nice to be able to swap out my sim and experience the best products from two of the best companies.

Don't mean to be rude, but I'll say this. I don't need 3 phones, but I do work hrad for my money, and like to buy what I want. It wouldn't be the first time I've had 3. Post 31 hit the nail on the head.

Apple really does follow the android pack these days. Samsung goes all glass and HTC and LG follow, now Apple does too. It's sad such a wealthy company is incapable of innovation.

Looks nice, but the iPhone 8 will be the star of the show.

iPhone 8 is definitely the star of the show. For the brainwashed sheep whose willing to spend that type of money for an old tech.

Right right, and Samsung's "unlock your friend's phone with a picture of themselves" is a better alternative, with tech that's sooo bleeding edge it's completely undeveloped to the point of anti-security, that's a better choice?

You a such an asshole, don't you have anything better to do than troll Apple articles? Why don't you make a video of your high mileage 2002 Corvette, then make a video of yourself going around to Chevy dealers and begging to test drive a new Corvette, you can then upload the videos to your YouTube channel. You know, the channel you hid because even you were embarrassed when a banned member slapped you in the mouth and started posting your videos, so you made the channel private to hide your stupidity.

Thanx bro. I love the C6 body style man, I found a transparent roof for it on Craigslist for $500, that price was a steal and I didn't hesitate. Now I have 2 tops for it. It's way too hot in Vegas now for the trans top, so it's in the closet till October. Thanx for the compliment bro...appreciate it.

Here we go, another super duper awesome YouTube channel you're proud of yet won't show. Damn you're pathetic. Now go to the dealership, take a picture of a car you want but can't afford, and make that your profile picture.

"K...thanx. I'll let you have the last word, since you need that validation." You do that whenever you've been slapped and having nothing to further bolster your idiot comments and pretend lifestyle.
