iPhone 7s Plus dummy unit captured in live pictures shows its shiny glass back side

With probably about a month away from the official reveal of Apple's new iPhones, leaked information and images continue to add to the puzzle, so it won't be long until we can see the bigger picture here.

Speaking of pictures, it looks like an iPhone 7s Plus dummy unit has been captured in live images. One of the smartphones that will be announced by Apple in September, the iPhone 7s Plus has a glass back instead of “standard” aluminum.

The overall design of the iPhone 7s Plus is not much different from the current model, although we aren't offered a look at the front side of the flagship.

The glass back comes in line with previous reports claiming the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will feature wireless inductive charging, which will allow users to use a charger pad instead of a Lightning cable to recharge their phones.

The glass back is meant to help make this new wireless inductive charging possible without having to add holes in the battery cover. However, since the glass casing is much less efficient at dissipating heat than the traditional aluminum, Apple is expected to add a new component in the form of a graphite layer to shield the 3D Touch sensor.

The good news is the antenna bands, one of the things that made iPhones easy to recognize, have been removed from the upcoming iPhone 7s Plus since the signal gets through the glass back without interference.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and iPhone 8 sometime in September, but the latter might not be available on the market until at least October.

Glass backs are OK as long as you can get into the phone without using a heat gun and guitar picks. At least with the Apple devices it's super easy to repair them even if there's a glass back.

Too bad the people leaking these pictures don't have anything close to an iPhone 4 to take pictures of these phones. They must be from North Korea or something, taking these pictures with their Motorola RAZR V3 phones.

One thing I'll say is I like iPhone's approach to full screen much better than Galaxy's. I think Apple was smart to emphasize a bumper on the sides of the phone, instead of going for the "edge" infinity pool look. But yeah it seems the only reason to switch to glass is to implement wireless charging. But I don't care for wireless charging anyway. I own a wireless charging stand, but I don't use it because it's so much slower than wired charging, and you can use your phone while its on the charging pad.

Hopefully TRUE wireless charging comes out this year; charging without your phone touching a silly brick or your watch touching a silly circular magnet.

You a such an asshole, don't you have anything better to do than troll Apple articles? Why don't you make a video of your high mileage 2002 Corvette, then make a video of yourself going around to Chevy dealers and begging to test drive a new Corvette, you can then upload the videos to your YouTube channel. You know, the channel you hid because even you were embarrassed when a banned member slapped you in the mouth and started posting your videos, so you made the channel private to hide your stupidity.

Thanx bro. I love the C6 body style man, I found a transparent roof for it on Craigslist for $500, that price was a steal and I didn't hesitate. Now I have 2 tops for it. It's way too hot in Vegas now for the trans top, so it's in the closet till October. Thanx for the compliment bro...appreciate it.

Here we go, another super duper awesome YouTube channel you're proud of yet won't show. Damn you're pathetic. Now go to the dealership, take a picture of a car you want but can't afford, and make that your profile picture.

"K...thanx. I'll let you have the last word, since you need that validation." You do that whenever you've been slapped and having nothing to further bolster your idiot comments and pretend lifestyle.

BOOM LOL! Let's see his comeback to that one bro. He doesn't want to acknowledge that you and I are actually friends, and you know the real deal lol. He probably thinks I'm some little kid, and mommy buys my tech like his does for him.
