The mother of all Pixel Watch 5 leaks is here to leave no question unanswered
Google's next big smartwatch is basically an open book ahead of its official announcement next week.

Even though it's obviously not been in the news as much as the Pixel 11 handset family, Google's next big smartwatch has made a bunch of headlines over the last few weeks, as several trustworthy leakers revealed a lot of key Pixel Watch 5 information in advance of its expected August 12 announcement.
But if you still had lingering questions following these recent rumors and reports, MyMobiles and Dealabs have answers today, pretty much filling in all the remaining blanks in the Pixel Watch 5's list of features, capabilities, and key selling points.
This is not a bad spec sheet, it's just... super-familiar

So what exactly is different here?
Before you say "nothing", shrug your shoulders, and move on to the Apple Watch Series 12 or one of Samsung's two new Wear OS-powered timepieces, allow me to point you in the direction of a few (modest) upgrades.

Yes, the Pixel Watch 5 is changing a few things about its predecessor, but we're clearly not talking about radical changes here. The Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 processor inside last year's Pixel Watch 4 will be "accelerated" this time around (whatever that means), and although it's obviously nice to hear that the raw power will be improved (no matter by how much or how little), it's hard to get very excited about this upgrade when the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 pack an all-new Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset.
Are you disappointed by the Pixel Watch 5's minimal upgrades?
The same goes for the Pixel Watch 5's jump from 32 to 64GB storage space, which is about as unexciting as smartwatch upgrades come, as well as one of the smallest battery size expansions in the history of the wearable industry. Oh, well, at least that won't increase the product weight or thickness, which almost counts as an improvement itself.
What will the Pixel Watch 5's main selling points be?
Based on a number of leaked marketing materials, it appears that Google will try to hype up its next smartwatch mostly on AI, health monitoring, and battery life strengths.

Of course, the same was more or less true for the Pixel Watch 4 as well, and in fact, the Pixel Watch 5 doesn't really bring anything new to the table in the health monitoring and battery life departments, promising to offer Google's "most accurate sleep tracking yet" and use "powerful sensors" to help you live a better and possibly even longer life while keeping the lights on for "up to 72 hours" between charges (with battery saver technology enabled).
Big G will obviously focus an important chunk of its advertising efforts on Gemini Intelligence too, aiming to sell you a watch that can "anticipate your needs and deliver helpful information at just the right moment", which certainly sounds nice... but just not as exciting as Google probably believes.
The price hikes sound like the biggest problem
No, the Pixel Watch 5 isn't expected to get a big price increase over its predecessor. But with so few clear improvements and a virtually unchanged design, it's sure going to be difficult for Google to justify any hike.

The cheapest Pixel Watch 5 model, mind you, is likely to cost $399 stateside, going up from the $349 US list price of a GPS-only Pixel Watch 4 in a small 41mm size.
The other variants will reportedly be priced at $429 (45mm size, no 4G LTE), $499 (41mm with LTE), and $529 (45mm with built-in cellular connectivity), and one of Google's biggest concerns should probably be that all those tags are higher compared to similar Galaxy Watch 9 models (with superior processing power).
