As Google’s Pixel 11 launch event comes ever closer, we’ve got an almost official confirmation that the company will also launch a new smartwatch. After a Pixel Watch 5 was found at the bottom of the ocean, a couple of new leaks reveal the wearable in both its sizes and several colors.

Pixel Watch 5 is coming in two sizes and several colors

After sharing renders of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, leaker Evan Blass took to X to share images of the upcoming Pixel Watch 5. The device is shown in both its 41mm and 45mm variants.

The smaller device appears in a dark color, which prior leaks claimed would be called Dark Anthracite. The 45mm version is shown in the new Pyrite color, which is paired with an olive band that would go well with Google’s new green earbuds and smartphones.

A couple more colors and practically unchanged design

Images of the 41mm Pixel Watch 5 in two more colors were also shared today by X account @evleaks, which is unrelated to Evan Blass, despite the name. One of the watches is in the rumored silver or Natural Silver color, while the other is with a gold chassis and a coral band.

There’s also another set of images of the 45mm silver version of the watch. This one comes with a white band with a little tint. We also got images of the coral and white bands on their own.

All the images confirm that the Pixel Watch 5 will stick to exactly the same design as the Pixel Watch 4, which could be a little disappointing for some Google fans. Last year’s model already looked like its predecessor, so a refresh might feel overdue.

However, this decision might not be such a big issue, considering how good that design was. In his in-depth review of the Pixel Watch 4, my colleague Peter said its design language was spectacular and named it the most pleasant smartwatch surprise of 2025.

No surprises left

Google is launching its new hardware on August 12, but there might not be too much we haven’t seen yet. The company will premiere the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which have all leaked multiple times.

On the smartwatch side, it’s very likely that we won’t get more than these four colors. The rest of the watch is also remaining practically the same as last year, including the charging port. This strongly suggests the wireless charging option won’t make a comeback this time around.

Google is expected to stick to the same CPU and GPU it used on last year’s models. The one big difference could be the 3GB of RAM, which may replace the 2GB on the Pixel Watch 4.

Great colors

While I don’t see myself rocking a gold watch with a coral band, I’m glad that Google has such an option in mind. Sticking only with the safe but boring colors is an easy thing to do, but I’m sure enough people would opt for something more fresh. What’s left for Google is to learn to keep its secrets better.
