Amazon is again selling the Apple Watch Series 8 at an irresistible price for an undoubtedly limited time

Today looks like the perfect day to buy a (previous-generation) Apple Watch, and if you can't afford or don't think Cupertino's first-ever rugged smartwatch fits your style and preferences best, you might want to consider the "mainstream" Series 8.
This is not all that different from the newer Series 9, which is exactly why you should opt for the older edition... if you can get it at its current $175 Amazon discount. That's a lot more than you can save on the aforementioned Apple Watch Ultra at the time of this writing, and of course, the Apple Watch Series 8 was always significantly cheaper.
If this $175 markdown from a $399 list price happens to sound familiar, by the way, it's probably because that's precisely how much Amazon buyers were able to save on the same device just a few weeks back. Unfortunately, that killer deal didn't last long, and this second serving might not be available for your to feast on for more than a few hours either.
Among others, that's because there's only one Series 8 model discounted by a massive 175 bucks this time around, with all other variants either going for their regular prices or being currently listed as out of stock.
Bargain hunters will likely be happy to know that they don't have to go for a funky or overly striking color in order to keep their holiday spending to a minimum, as the Apple Watch Series 8 version sold by Amazon at a special price comes with a "classic" midnight aluminum case and midnight sport band.
You will obviously need to make do without cellular connectivity at this hugely reduced price, and folks with large wrists are sadly out of luck as that aluminum case only comes in a small 41mm size.
Despite being released more than a year ago now, the Apple Watch Series 8 is without a doubt still one of the best smartwatches money can buy, with its high-quality Always-On Retina display, top-notch water resistance, dust resistance, life-saving ECG app, blood oxygen sensor, and irregular rhythm notifications making up a list of features you'd expect to continue to pay $400 or at least $300 for in this day and age.
