Unofficial Samsung Galaxy S8 render is based on Blass' leaked image of the flagship

A few days ago, tipster extraordinaire Evan Blass tweeted what was reportedly a real image of the Samsung Galaxy S8. Now, we have an unofficial press render of the eagerly awaited flagship model to show you. Taking the picture disseminated by Blass and turning it into a render was Benjamin Geskin, who has made a few previous renders of the phone. The new render is supposedly a more accurate version of previous ones since it is based on the image provided by Blass.

The front of the phone shows a curved dual-edged display that appears to be bezel-less. There is a power button and two buttons for volume up and volume down on the left side of the handset. On the right side, there is a single button that could be used to activate AI feature Bixby. On back is a single camera lens flanked by a flash unit, and a fingerprint scanner.

We could see the Samsung Galaxy S8 equipped with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution. The U.S. version of the phone will probably be powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset. The phone should come with 4 to 6GB of RAM inside along with 64GB of native storage. A Type-C USB port will be included along with a 3.5mm earphone jack. The unit is expected to feature an IP68 certification rating for dust and water resistance.

The Galaxy S8 Plus is rumored to carry a 6.2-inch screen and could feature a dual-camera setup on the back of the phone.
