LG V30 may come with waterproof chassis, Gorilla Glass 5, and B&O audio

Hot on the heels of the leaked V30 render and LG's press release for its new 6" flexible OLED display, comes another confirmation that the phone will land boasting a way better screen-to-body ration than the G20. Industry sources have pointed to Korean media that the new LG flagship will come with 20 percent and 50 percent thinner top and bottom bezels, respectively, compared to the V20. While LG mentioned the exact same numbers in its 6" panel announcement, it never referred to the V30 directly, so now we can assume that all that is talked about in the presser, including the part where the logo is moved to the back of device, will materialize with the V30.

The side edges are expected to be sloping at a sharper angle for "more immersive viewing and better grip," too, while the the new flexible OLED panel will be protected by the latest Gorilla Glass 5. The source keeps piling features on, mentioning IP68 water- and dust-resistance, which probably means that the V30 will indeed come with a sealed battery, which would take one of the last bastions of user-repaceable batteries, LG's V-line, off the market. Last but not least, the insiders tip some sort of "Bang & Olufsen audio system," though it's not clear if that would be the speaker branding, the audio chip prowess, or some third party add-on altogether. There isn't much time left until LG unveils the grand 6" V30 a few weeks from now, so enjoy summer, and tune again in three weeks or so.
