Alleged press render of LG V30 leaks, matches sketch of the 6-inch flagship model

Press render allegedly showing the LG V30. Note the August 31st date on front

Earlier this morning in Asia, LG sent out a press release relating to the introduction of a 6-inch Plastic OLED FullVision display that it will apparently be using on the LG V30. Thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio, even though the 6-inch screen tops the 5.7-inch display found on the LG V20, the LG V30 has a smaller body than its predecessor.

You'll note that the phone shows the date of August 31st on the display, which is when the LG V30 is rumored to be unveiled. That is actually the day before the IFA trade show is set to kick off in Berlin on September 1st. The design shows off the thin bezel look that has been in this year, and there are no buttons on the front of the device. The volume rockers can be seen on the left side of the handset. As the rumors suggest, there is no secondary screen this year.

The LG V30 press render seems to match a sketch of the phone recently posted by tipster @OnLeaks. Inside the handset will be a Snapdragon 835 chipset along with 6GB of RAM, and an upgraded Quad-DAC for enhanced audio. There is some talk about Android 8.0 being pre-installed. Other possible features include wireless charging, a dual-rear camera setup, and a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.

If it has Android O and/or IR blaster there is a high possibility this would be my next phone.

guys, IR blasters are.. quite gone as tech.. Bluetooth takes place.. so I really doubt that we will see any IR sensor on phones.. from now on.

You are right. But it's quite handy some time. Especially if you have TV, air conditioner, stereo, etc. which are not smart. I think this technology make sense couple of years more. And it doesn't take much space in the phone. Another feature that I miss is the FM radio. It is very easy to implement it in the phone and is very handy if you are not a subscriber in any streaming service. I am glad that LG still have this feature!

Android O won't even be out when this phone debuts, so you can give up on that.

Looks nicer than the G6. With a 4500mah battery this would be decent phone.

the front looks kinda ugly compared to the s8/note 8. i mean the curved screen is supposed to make the side bezels LOOK nonexistent, but they're still there: big and ugly.

It's not a full curved Display, just enough to hold comfortably yet not enough to actually touch the display Dumbass.

then why dont they just make the screen flat? LOL It's cheaper to be fixed when it breaks, and more importantly it looks way better than this.
half-asses s**t wont make anyone happy.

So the V30 has total smaller screen AREA than the V20! bummer!

The area is bigger, the width is smaller. It's got the width of a 5.5" 16:9 screen phone, roughly.

I am no LG fan, but that looks beautiful. The Note 8 should have shorter bezels, specially since they're using a 0.3' bigger screen. But in this case the V30 is wider with a smaller screen, so I still prefer the Note 8. Can't wait for these 2 beasts to come out.
