Update rolling out to new Nexus 7 to fix multitouch and GPS issues

Over the last couple days, we've seen Google pushing out minor updates to a number of devices in the Nexus line. The Nexus 4, Galaxy Nexus, and the 3G variants of last year's Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 have all been receiving a small security update. Now, it's time for the new Nexus 7 to get a fix of its own.

Reports have said that some users have been having problems with the multitouch on the device, and this update should help to end those problems. The update brings the new Nexus 7 to software version JSS15Q, which is still under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean heading. There is no word on if this update will also fix the GPS issues that some users have complained about with the new Nexus 7.

There is a thread in Google Groups where the problem is being tracked. So, if you have been having touchscreen problems with your Nexus 7, jump to the source and let Google know if the new update has fixed things or not.

*Update* The Googler in the Groups forum has confirmed that the update does also fix the GPS issues that users have had.
