T-Mobile myTouch Slide gets snapped in the open
The T-Mobile G1 had a great run on T-Mobile and simply ushered in the birth of the Android platform, but it's becoming more clear that its time may be nearing as a speculated successor is in its the final stages. The most recent image of the alleged T-Mobile myTouch Slide has surfaced and paints a clear cut image of what potential buyers may expect with the final product – it looks similar to the leaked image seen back in January. It's clear that the myTouch Slide differentiates itself from the G1, but it doesn't scream the gorgeous industrial design we've seen put out by the Taiwan manufacturer – still, it'll suffice especially when its specs may not all embody the high-end segment. Nonetheless, it'll surely be marketed to the same target audience that the G1 was able to encompass – it's being heard that the marketing campaign will focus on the myTouch Slide's personalization aspect. After hitting up the FCC and a rumored launch date of May 19th, the G1 will undoubtedly give up its crown and move on to allow the myTouch Slide to take up its throne.
