Sprint unveils three new ways to chat via cellphones

Sprint announced the availability of three new mobile chat services for its subscribers - Jumbuck Island, The Lounges and Webdate Mobile. The three services are available on select Sprint PCS Vision and Sprint Power Vision phones.

Jumbuck Island – developed by Jumbuck Entertainment is a 3D wireless chat service, which combines multiplayer PC games and Internet chat rooms into one. Users can customize their appearance and chose an avatar to represent them. Afterwards they can roam different areas on the island, such as beaches, cruise ships and waterfalls to find people to chat with. The service is available for $3.99 per month.

The Lounges – created by AirG allows users to connect with other mobile users in any of three fun community chat lounges – Sports (for all sports fans), Latino (for those who want to chat in Spanish), and Friends (for those who look for a friend or a date). The three lounges feature IM, photo profiles, user search as well as public and private messaging. The service is free of charge for the first three months. Afterwards it will cost $3.99 monthly.

Webdate Mobile - offered by Trilibis Mobile is the world's largest mobile dating service, which offers users access to one of the most popular websites for dating. It enables subscribers to search for singles in their area, view members' photos and full profiles, check and send messages. The new features, added for Sprint subscribers are MyWebdate (suggests matches, based on the user's profile preferences) and New Faces (provides a quick view of new members). The service is available for $4.99 per month.
