The OS upgrades keep rolling and rolling for the BlackBerry Storm. The problem is, any upgrade after .75 for Verizon's 9530 is a leaked, unofficial version that is risky to download onto your device. This newly leaked OS is 4.07.0.99 and the reports from the daredevils who loaded it on their Storm have been mixed. Some are talking about a speedier browser and camera while others say that any changes are a placebo effect. One thing for sure is that the virtual QWERTY in portrait that first appeared with .90 is still in the new OS. And on the browser, the return key has been replaced with a "GO" button highlighted in green. Eventually, RIM and Verizon will decide on the next official upgrade. Until then, we will continue to see leaked software floating around the internet. If you downloaded .99 on your Storm, let us know what you liked and disliked about it.

it works good, but nothing really to go crazy over, the browser speeds to me is inconsequential since I use bolt and it is faster than any browser on any phone IMO.

I was waiting for the official release. I decided to give this release a try. I works great! I haven't noticed any problems.

wow, full keyboard in protrait mode? Thats awesome! :D I also like the idea of the return key being switched to the "Go" key and having it colored green. This will make things a little easier for those that are new to Blackberry phones. Sounds like some good changes.....now we just need an offical release! Godfather, is BOLT a free browser download for the storm? If so, where do you get it? I know some co-workers would like to use something different then the stock browser......

i have bolt on mine too. boltbrowserdotcom. its very fast but i dont like it because, it doesnt work well with clicking and selecting links, also, i dont like the font of the web pages. i just use the normal browser for now.

Does anyone know when/how VZW decides to release "official" software upgrades for devices like the Storm? What gives with all these leaked ones, and yet no "official" release since .75? I don't have a Storm but am looking into it. But I'd like one more official upgrade before I make the plunge.
