Has production of the Samsung Galaxy Tab been cut by 50% because of poor sales?

Because that wouldn't be the first time that he called for a Verizon iPhone that never came, we have to take with a grain of salt his comments on the Samsung Galaxy Tab. While he might prove to be correct that smartphones and laptops are taking business away from the tablets, he also says that his reading of the supply chain shows that the Korean based manufacturer is cutting production of the 7 inch Android powered tablets by 50% due to poor sales.
We recently informed you that Samsung was expecting to sell 1 million of the tablets in 2010. It seems hard to believe that the company could have miscalculated by such a wide degree considering that the product's main challenger right now is the Apple iPad and there are many potential tablet buyers out there who would prefer Android to iOS, who want two cameras on board and Adobe flash capabilities on the browser
Rumors like this can destroy a product before it even has a chance to get off the ground, so we would imagine that Samsung will be making a response denying this very soon.

No one wants to pay 400 bucks, be stuck in a two year contract, and pay a monthly data fee on top of that.

He is not making sense on purpose.
He is imitating an Apple fanboy.
Watch the "HTC Evo vs. iphone 4" on youtube (the one with the little animals that talk).
If you watch that, what he says will make sense

if your talking about the galaxy tab..its ranging anywhere between 450 550 dollars and actually does not require a contract but that depends on where you buy it from

The ridiculously high price may be the reason why. $549 on Spring and Verizon.

Sanding success with galaxy b/c of new innovative super moles screen+ fair price when it come 2 year contract. Whereas galaxy tab have nothing new with double price in contract. They need to do research before release the price. In europe it already lower the price buy €50. Fail with price and customer support. All sanding tab a very lag just like galaxy s when it release.

Once you play with the Galaxy Tap..it's actually pretty cool. So much easier to handle than the ipad. Ultra portable. 7" is the sweet spot. I think Samsung should just cut the price by about $100 and they would sell the crap out of it.

when the wifi version tags $400 or less, ill think about it. it wont be long and it has nothing to do with sales. With a dozen android tablets coming out this year all with similar features, the price wars will drive them down quickly. this time next year we will be seeing android 3.0 tablets with dual core, 25 megapixle cameras, 3d screens, make your coffee and scratch your back, all for like 200 bux.
