HTC One M10 allegedly leaks again: chamfered design, camera module, and antenna bands get pictured
We are amidst MWC 2016, and the major phone makers debuted their newest gadgets. Samsung showed us the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, LG unveiled the G5 and its "Friends", Sony surprised us with three Xperia phones, and finally, HTC also chimed in with the Desire 530, 630, and 825. None of the latter is a flagship, and neither is the One X9, which also got silently re-announced yesterday.

Indeed, we expect HTC to succeed the One M9 with the M10 this year. In fact, rumors about this device have been flying around for some time, though it's sometimes rolling under the "Perfume" codename. Evan Blass, a.k.a. evleaks, even gave us a sneak peek of the front of the anticipated flagship, which revealed that it might pack an oval home button, which will most likely house the fingerprint scanner.

Today, a new leak from China micro-blogging website Sina Weibo hit us, claiming to show the back side of the HTC One M10. We get see the camera unit, which seems like it's a little bit protruding. As a refresher, rumors say it will be a 12MP UltraPixel snapper. To the right of it, we see a dual-tone LED flash; the black thingy right below the flash might, or might not be a vertically-positioned laser-assisted auto-focus system system.

We've got clearly visible antenna bands, too, with what appears to be a noise-cancelling microphone. At the left, there's a hint of a hardware button, most probably the power Finally, there's a small cutout at the very top of the phone, which is most certainly a 3.5mm top-positioned audio jack. As far as the design of the phone is concerned, it looks like its made of metal, which is unsurprising. We also get to see lots of bevels this time around. That's not typical of HTC, as most of its devices usually feature more curved lines, but there's no law forbidding the Taiwan-based manufacturer from spicing things up in the design department. As usual, take this leak with a grain of salt and make sure to share any thoughts you might have in the comments section.

Nope. The iPhone is a very feminine curvy design (fitting since it's made for teeneaged girls). I don't think he knows what chamfered means.

True feminine design.

Do you remember the HTC DNA, that's rectangular, the M7. I really like Sonys Z series, because the Edges are sharper than being smoother like Samsung S series. The Note4 and Note3 are sharp with slight smoothed curves.

It has curved chamfered. Look at the sexy iP5, all one piece block, then the Ip6, block but with the another layer chamfered on the outer.

Not sure you know what chamfered is. ip5 is chamfered & ip6 isn't.

Looks alright so far. Still hoping for some design that sets it apart. Motorola custom colors and backs do that in a way that few others can compare to.

They get rid of the htc logo on the bottom of the screen but that huge bezel still remains.....which means nothing has been changed

I seriously do not understand why HTC has such big problems with decreasing the bezels. on their phones. Is that really so difficults to engeneer?? Make the screen larger if you have to, to keep the overall size, but get rid of those gigantic bezels!!!

The phone does not have that chamfer, it's an add on. This is added to hide the phone against leaks. The final device looks much better than that

Any haters go elsewhere, you are wrecking any chance this phone maker you love has and you will miss it when they go. FFS the phone hasn't been released or unveiled

Those edges look like the typical grinded edges you see on Huawei phones. Yould this actually be some Huawei device??

Chamfered= Prone to scratches. Since the chamfers are so big I don't think it will age well. But other aspects look good except for the ditching of boomsound. Waiting for HTC to bring an all around winner especially in Camera Dept

The pictures don't line up. The front and back leaks, I mean. The front leaks don't show a jack or whatever that is on top and you can see a white antenna line on the top of the camera. Vertical. There's no vertical line going through the top on here....

I wonder why anyone doesn't write how new Samsung s7 looks identicly like last year product s6. Nobody to mantion anything, but last year every one prepaire big guns how M9 looks exactly like M8!! And people on sites like this one ruined great phone and his sell. Come on people,it's our time to tell something to sammy fans! Go HTC.Back on the top!!

The reason is simple: People didn't like the M8 design (primarily due to the bezel), and were hoping for improvements in the M9. On the other hand, people loved the GS6 design.

No man, that is not true. Because M8 most awarded phone that year, from design to speed, and all over best phone of the year! I was surprised for the best phone of the year, but even here on pa (and they do not like HTC) was the same. Sorry on my english, btw. But you can't denial that new Samsung is totally the same like S6 edge, whitch are great phone. But totally the same, and not one word about it. I must remind you that M9 was disaster in sale because people spit how it looks the same like last year best design phone!,and how inside is Snapdragon 810 who is on fire :),and that's a lie. I own M9,and still my face is all right :).

I think you may want to go back and re-read old stories about the M8. People complained about the bezel with the HTC logo since the leak ... before the M8 was even launched. HTC had to make a statement about the bezel on launch day. And that attitude continued when the M9 was launched, and it's still a topic of discussion right now while people wait to see what the M10 looks like. I've been using an M8 for the past 2 years, and my only complaint about it is the overall size relative to the screen size. I agree it was the best phone that year. But it's too long. No getting around it. Had HTC simply removed that huge bezel at the bottom of the M9, I think it would have been a hit and considered a huge improvement. Many people (including me) were disappointed that the M9 did nothing about the bezel. In contrast, there weren't many complaints about the GS6's design, so why fix something that's not broken?
