Froyo coming to the myTouch 3G Slide next week - with a full roll out starting in July?
With a week left before customers can get themselves with one of the few available Android 2.1 devices on the market, it already looks like the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide will already be getting Android 2.2 Froyo next week. According to Unwired View's two separate and anonymous tipsters, it's being reported that the the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the myTouch 3G Slide is expected to become available next week, but the catch is that it'll only be available to T-Mobile employees for testing purposes only. Thankfully, consumers that decide to side with the myTouch 3G Slide as opposed to other Android handset launching in the first week of June, they'll be greeted to the Froyo update some time around the second half for the year – which means that it could be as early as July before it comes out. Worse case scenario could potentially position the update around the busy holiday season – where it'll no doubt be a tough wait, but nonetheless something worthwhile.

I guess the only attraction this phone can give to its consumer is to have android 2.2 right out of the box..... this phone is "junk" comparing to its android competitors....

Got the FROYO update..
Within one hour of the update I found my battery will no longer hold a charge.
Right now I am only getting 4-5 hours standby if I'm lucky,If I actually use the phone I have maybe 1-2 hours before my phone completely dies.

Before the update I could go a day and a half w/o a charge and as far as talk/use time I never really had to think about it.
SO Disappointed.

I have tried battery calibration- Turned my Wifi and GPS off- Uninstalled every app that was not a necessity as well as some that were- Dimmed my black light and obviously pulled my battery out to make sure it was ok.

NONE of this has helped me.

I called T-mobile and and the rep asked me to take my battery out and look at it---- Seriously! After I did that (again) and everything looked fine he then asked me if it got wet.... I had already explained the FROYO update and that my battery was fine before.

The solution via T-mobile customer service is a New battery..... :(

Does anyone have any information that would actually be helpful for me?

try puting back 2.1 and gettin a custom rom for 2.2 froyo which looks the same and does everything. But your phone has to be rooted
