European HTC Hero to land Android 2.1 on April 2?
Even though there are many devices still waiting to see the Android 2.1 treatment, the ever changing date for the update is the only consistent thing we've been treated to. For owners of the original European version of the HTC Hero, it seems like the date for Android 2.1 is always being pushed back as people are still hopeful about its eventual release. Now the rumors point to the earliest date of April 2 as one xda-developers member received an email that outlines the scheduled timeline for the update of the first Android phone to offer the Sense UI. From the looks of it, all versions of the European HTC Hero should be running Android 2.1 just in time before summer officially starts. Despite a lengthy time frame for the speculated release date, at least the HTC Hero is still getting the love as a lot of attention and focus are placed on newer devices.

Does anybody think/know if this may be portable to the US Hero (for Sprint & Some other US Carrier - I can't remember the name now)?
