We have seen many leaks and renders of the Galaxy S26 design, but none of them have come from official sources. Now, Samsung’s own leaked software appears to contain images of the upcoming flagship phones.
One UI 8.5 leak revealed renders of all Galaxy S26 models
Images with what appear to be renders of the Galaxy S26 series were found inside One UI 8.5. One of the images, found by Android Authority, is of a device with codenames M1 and M2, and the second image reveals the design of a phone with codename M3.
Those codenames were part of earlier leaks about Samsung’s flagship series. The M1 and M2 codenames apply to the vanilla Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the M3 device.
A slight redesign

Both renders line up with earlier leaks and renders. The two base models will feature a vertical camera island with three lenses on the back. The S26 Ultra also has the vertical camera island, but next to it are two more sensors.
Considering those images were part of Samsung’s software, it’s almost certain that’s the final design of the Galaxy S26 series. Apparently, the company will continue to use the unified camera island we know from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy S25 Edge, and the Galaxy A devices.
What do you think about the Galaxy S26 design?
I like it, Samsung is making a good choice

I don’t like it, it looks cheap

The slight redesign could be part of an effort to unify the design of all Samsung devices. Both Apple and Google have different approaches with their own designs and differentiate between their premium and base models. The vanilla iPhone 17 has a small bump for its two cameras, while the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iPhone Air feature the so-called “camera plateau.” The Pixel 10 and the two Pixel 10 Pro models have a camera bar on the back, while the camera of the budget Pixel 9a is almost flush with the back.
Questionable choice
I’ve said it before, but I’m not a big fan of Samsung’s unified design, especially for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Having a premium device with the same design as any of the company’s budget smartphones doesn’t sit right with me.
