Although the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has reportedly not proven very popular around the world during its first few weeks of availability, I'm here today to urge you to give Samsung's latest Android-based clamshell a chance for the sake of an entire market segment that might be on the verge of extinction.

No, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered flip phone is not very different from its predecessor, but at least you can get it at a lower than ever price right now with no strings attached. I'm talking no obligatory device trade-ins or anything like that, and in addition to a $150 outright discount, you'll also score $100 Samsung Store credit for an undoubtedly limited time only.

As for the Galaxy Z Flip 8, I'm not going to lie, I feel like Samsung can still do better than a $150 discount that knocks the handset's starting price down to $1,049.99. But I obviously can't guarantee a better deal will come anytime soon... or ever, especially with all those rumors floating around of further price hikes for smartphones from all major (and minor) brands on the horizon.

The Z Flip 8, remember, was released at a higher price than the Z Flip 7 last year without bringing a lot of major upgrades or cosmetic changes to the table. But if you remain devoted to the clamshell form factor rather than the book-style design of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 or Z Fold 8 Ultra and are aware that Samsung's long-term software support can't ever be beaten by Motorola, this might be your moment to splash the cash on what's ultimately undeniably one of the best foldable phones available today.
