New Amazon Echos, Fire tablets, and AirPods rival could be announced on September 25
With Apple's highly anticipated iPhone 11 launch event in the rearview mirror, it's time to direct our attention to the Pixel 4 duo Google is widely expected to unveil sometime next month, as well as new Microsoft Surface devices confirmed for an October 2 announcement and "some new things from the Amazon Devices and Services team", scheduled to break cover on September 25.

Obviously, the e-commerce giant is unlikely to come out with a new phone after trying its hand at that market way back in 2014 and miserably failing to make much of an impact, but a bunch of refreshed Fire tablets could absolutely be on the cards. Since Amazon already rehashed its regular and kid-friendly 7-inchers this year, we're guessing upgraded variants of the Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 10 are likely to see daylight in a couple of weeks.

Of course, if history is any indication, the company's hugely successful Echo lineup will be taking center stage roughly 12 months after the launch of everything from an extensive family of revised smart speakers to the Echo Auto, Input, Sub, Wall Clock, and Alexa-powered AmazonBasics Microwave. Naturally, it's hard to predict exactly how many new Echo-branded products will be unveiled on September 25, but one thing we're particularly intrigued about is Amazon's long overdue answer to the high-end Apple HomePod and Google Home Max.

Meanwhile, even though the rumor mill has been rather quiet in the last few months, there's also a good chance Apple's AirPods will be getting yet another direct competitor in the form of Amazon-made wireless earbuds with built-in Alexa assistance and top-notch audio quality. This is definitely the right time to join the booming "hearables" industry, so make sure you keep an eye on Amazon's newsroom (and our website) come September 25 for what's shaping up like a jam-packed event.
