Palm to hit the Europe market with new Treo

Palm have announced they will be introducing new GSM Treo smartphone to the Europe market through Vodafone. The new handset, based on the 700w, will be running on Windows Mobile 5.0. It will work on Vodafone's 3G/UMTS network and Palm has said they're hoping to launch it as soon as possible due to poor sales of the Treo 650 in Europe. The device will be available in many European countries but the first to get their hands on the smartphone will be users form UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, probably before the end of the year.

No name and specs of the device are mentioned but there is a rumor it may be the Treo device, named Hollywood, expected to be launched by Cingular.
