Apple shares tips from photographers on how to use iPhone 7 Plus camera in Portrait mode

If you haven't read our in-depth guide of Portrait mode on iPhone 7 Plus, Apple has you all covered with these new photo tips coming from professional photographers.

Apple enlisted the services of a couple of famous photographers around the world with a single purpose: to use the Portrait mode on the iPhone 7 Plus and share their impressions.

Names like JerSean Golatt, Jeremy Cowart, Pei Ketron and Benj Haisch have been using iPhone 7 Plus' camera in Portrait mode and provided their feedback along with a few tips for beginners.

You can check out their thoughts about the iPhone 7 Plus' camera on their websites, but suffice to say they were all impressed by the Portrait mode and how they are able to shoot pictures with new depth-of-field effect, or bokeh as some know it.

According to Apple, the Portrait mode is one of the favorite features of those who own an iPhone 7 Plus, especially since they can capture pictures with bokeh effect.

Apple also quotes Flickr saying that iPhone's camera popularity among photographers has increased in 2016. Check out some of the photos provided by Apple and made by these professional photographers.

Photos IMO still look better on the Galaxy S7/Edge (also better on its S6 predecessor which could have to do with the AMOLED display). Also 4 x 3 still the only native option ratio after almost a decade...Hopefully Apple fixes both issues with the iPhone 8 (though won't hold my breath).

I like Burger King quite a bit, but Five Guys burgers are outstanding. Maybe it is the dullness of an LCD screen (kind of like how BK freezes their beef while 5G doesn't). BUT to your credit, every once in a while I will have an outstanding Whopper and a not-so-outstanding burger at 5G. (With that analogy for those who think I am trying to turn this into 'BurgerArena' - sometimes iPhone photos will be better than Galaxy, but that is usually the exception). IMO

Yea, they are outstanding, because they've been heavily edited and shopped. The 4th one of the bride and groom is the only one that looks like it hasn't been touched up because it shows a uniform bubble around the subject while the others have blurring applied to them from something other just than the camera.

How original from Apple when Sony did it few years back. Apple should stick with patent trolling, nobody can compete with that.
