Video shows how Skype is used on Verizon Wireless handsets
There's no arguing the wonders of what Skype has accomplished for the many millions of people using the service to this day. Now that Verizon Wireless has inked a deal with them here in the United States to be the exclusive provider of Skype Mobile, we're starting to see a marketing campaign that aims to educate customers who aren't too familiar with the service. The new video released displays all the benefits of using Skype between computer to computer, but the twist in all of it is the profound stance on how Skype Mobile plans on taking the US by storm with Big Red. You can clearly tell that Verizon's brand image is littered throughout the video – visually showing how the two companies are working hand in hand with one another in offering the soon to be available service. Although it's targeted to Verizon customers, you can slowly get a sense at how Skype is all of a sudden making it seem like its a never before seen service that's strictly going to be available to Verizon Wireless. As we've seen already in the past few weeks, this deal between the two is really shaping up to change the industry – paving the way on how it'll affect future VoIP service deals that may come about.

WIN! I love the direction VZW is headed... loosening its once communist-like restrictions while signing quality, high-end handsets at the same time.

I'm surprised vzw is pushing forward with this despite their recent data blackout.

LTE, that is why. That network should be up and running here shortly for Seattle and Boston and then 30 markets by end of year. That nework can support anything........... :-)

So you can surf the web slowly while your on hold hoping that you call doesnt get dropped?.. like the commercials? Good luck with your dropped calls and up and coming 3G network.
