T-Mobile myTouch 3G & G1 shows off the joys of Android 2.1

The original device to set Android's ball rolling may be fading away ever so slowly in the wake of these high-end offerings that seemingly takes precedance over a lot of news surrounding Android. Fortunately for both T-Mobile G1 and myTouch 3G owners, they can get themselves a sample of the joys that come along with Android 2.1 thanks to the beta CyanogenMod ROM. It has been in the testing and fine tuning stages for the better portion of the last several weeks, but the CyanogenMod team is about close as it gets to releasing version CM 5.0.7 Ds of their latest beta ROM. The video clearly shows how Android 2.1 is running on the T-Mobile G1, but there are still problems that would require some modifications to run properly. No worries for the T-Mobile myTouch 3G as the ROM was able to install and run without any hitches. Even though there are some G1 handsets sitting around and collecting dust, this would be the perfect opportunity to whip it out and shed some life back into it. Interestingly enough, there might be something else better coming down the road as we wait and see what Google reveals at I/O held on May 19th to 20th.

Because android and windows will make people sell their iPhone if they had windows on and iPhone. No one would like it. And also it took like 2 years to port android in iPhone anyway. Andoid phones are sloowwwwww too But thank god for this I've been trying to put eclair on my mytouch and I can't!
