Sprint drops an OTA update for the HTC EVO 4G on launch day
Right on cue and without a moment to spare, brand new HTC EVO 4G owners all around may get a nice notification upon powering up their brand spanking new Android handsets. Sprint is going to kill two birds with one stone as a 13MB over-the-air software update is being rolled right out of the gates. It wasn't a surprise especially when there was news recently that shed some light on some problems found with writing data onto a microSD card and the vulnerabilities that were spotted by hackers. If you haven't received the notification just yet, you can simply manually check for it by going into the Settings Menu and then clicking on System updates. The whole process should take you a mere 5 minutes and should most likely be done before messing around with the phone. Thankfully the issues have been resolved as no doubt many owners across the country will be getting a crack at playing around with the majestic Android powered handset.
