Sony will likely update the Xperia Z3 with Lollipop soon, firmware approved by the Wi-Fi Alliance

Most of the major manufacturers have already updated a portion of their more flagships and top-tier phones with Android 5.0 Lollipop (Samsung, LG, HTC, etc.), but you might've noticed the absence of another big industry name - Sony. The company has been keeping quite mum on the subject of updating its newer Xperia devices with this version of Android. 

Fortunately for all those impatient users, it seems that the update for the Sony Xperia Z3 (D6603) is just 'round the corner. The firmware build in question has just been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which is a sign that Sony is about to enter Lollipopland anytime now, mot probably by the end of February.

Meanwhile, the more MWC 2015 is getting closer, the lesser the chances of seeing the Sony Xperia Z4 in early March become. At this point, we generally think that Sony might have re-considered its 6-month release cycle and adopted a much more traditional flagship product release, which takes place once a year.
