Samsung Galaxy S6 sketches leak revealing its dimensions?

Samsung Galaxy S6 sketches leak revealing its dimensions?
From now, right up to the expected March 1st unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S6, we can expect to be bombarded with leaked pictures, documents and other information allegedly revealing the specs and design of Samsung's next flagship smartphone. Out of Korea today comes a couple of leaked drawings of the device, one of which supposedly contains the dimensions of the handset.

According to the diagram, the Samsung Galaxy S6 will be 143.30mm x 70.81mm x 6.91mm. To put that in comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S5 measures 142mm x 72.5mm x 8.1 mm.

While there are some similarities between the design of the phone in the drawings and other leaks purportedly revealing the Galaxy S6, we should point out that there are some differences in the placement of the sensors on top of the device. Obviously, you should be taking this story with the proverbial grain of salt.

Before you know it, March 1st will be here and there will be no more guessing about the looks and specs of the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Thanks for the tip!

OT:

[ Edit ] Looks like it's fake. The screen dimension is not 16:9.

[ If ] this is true, then we can calculate that the the screen dimension is 5-inch. Infact it's 4.93 inch.

[ If ] the display is QHD, then the PPI will be 596PPI. If they use a FHD display, then also the PPI will be 446 (more than enough).

The screen to body ratio will be 68%.

Right. And what's that top and bottom huge bezels? I hope this is a decoy.

Bezel is good?
If anything has been proven in abundance it is that anything with as tiny bezel as possible, once in the hands of consumers, breaks, fast.

And I mean once it comes down to it, do you really think you would notice it in daily usage?

Well consider, the display on the S5 is 5.1". Samsung has never gone smaller with a display. It either remains the same size or it grows.

Show me a Galaxy device here the next model has less of something?

But the drawing looks a lot like he full render that PA post a couple days ago. I can't wait to see this phone and touch it.

I don't know how well the 6 will sell, but I do know, each Galaxy S has outsold the previous model and I don't see this one doing any different.

I do believe the S5 sold less than the S4 and possibly S3. I'm not sure about the Note series.

The note 4 only comes with 32Gb storage and note 3 came in a 64gb variant?

Hope that is a mistake and they've not switched to a different aspect ratio.

Quick and dirty Photoshop correcting aspect ratio to 16:9. Smaller bezels, centred home button. Nice.

edit: won't let me post images. imgur /ipgPg07.jpg for those interested

Samsung awful profit loss isn't cause S5 sold 5-6mil less than S4. Its cause of its mediocre mid-range, low-end phones who also happen to be overpriced. In asia you can buy easily and with local warranty a super fast, metallic, great camera phone with under 200$. Not to mention motorola is kicking asses in USA/EU with its Moto G(no its not selling tens of millions but even my clueless non tech friends are starting to know how better Moto G is than any samsung crap at that price range) and not to forget other companies have been producing some great low end and mid range phones for EU/USA market.

How about you make the phone thicker? That will get rid of the camera hump and increase space for a bigger batter. I dont get it at all

i actually dont mind the camera hump as long as its on the middle. the camera humps on the side is what annoys me.

They never really bothered me either but YOU CAN HAVE A BIGGER BATTERY! I swear they just do it so they can call it "thin". You're trading battery life for a marketing spec.

iPhone slanted comment. Honestly, if it's in the middle, the phone will rock on both sides. The iPhone dirsnt rock at all unless you touch it at the top laying flat. It's a very minor bump that's like .6mm

its not, i just personally like it in the middle. i kind of like my phones to be symmetrical. plus i have an iphone 6 (although i dont like it)

I don't either. Never once when holding my One (M7) have I thought to myself "f**k this phone is thick, if only it was 3mm more thin"

because that would be too logical thing to do!!

Every smartphone manufacturer wants the phone to be slimmer, at the cost of batterylife. yes, I would take a phone with 8-9mm thickness and more batterylife.

Well mind that there are many factors affecting battery life, and one of them is in the SoC manufacturing process.
An SoC built with the 14 nm process will have better battery life and performance than an SoC built with the 20 nm process, at same clock speeds.
Not to mention the under-the-hood optimizations done by each OEM to its phone.
Example: the xperia Z3 has a battery life of 2 days comfortably with a ~3000 mAh battery. And my S3 has the same battery life with a whopping 7000 mAh Zerolemon battery. If we judge it by battery capacity, the Z3 should have a battery life of only one day and i would have a battery life of a week or so :D

I don't see the excitement. I had the S3, now i have been having the S4 but this looks just like the S3,4 or 5. Nothing new. I would have bought Sony if they were priced reasonably or offered with carrier subsidy. it looks to me that Samsung stopped innovating. But more of the same with metal frame... meh... i kinda want something different. Might switch to LG, don't know.
