Palm Pre staying fresh with free updates
Staying old and not in touch with fresh updates can spell doom for certain handsets. There has been a steady trend in phone manufacturers releasing updates to enhance the experience or fix certain bugs that might be causing havoc. This is especially true most recently with the Apple iPhone and BlackBerry Storm. But it looks like Palm will be following the same footsteps by offering free updates for their much anticipated Palm Pre. There was a document that was leaked which hints to Palm providing periodical new software features which will be free of charge to customers owning a webOS product. This is surprising news when knowing that Palm was notorious in the past for not offering software enhancements to their products. We’ve seen how important it is to release these updates to provide long term use. Additionally, it will be a plus to wireless carriers who intend to keep older device as part of their product lineup.

useless texting??? texting is very useful when I can mms and sms, download tons of 3rd party and user created apps for FREE, get true 3g support, expand on my 9 gigs of memory, go anywhere in the world with it, set up multiple email boxes and use it as a TRUE media player since it takes all formats of media .... oh and it supports 4 different keyboards as well . bb storm ftw. heavy breathing is a stalker calling someone a troll ....how long have u been out of prison again?

You obviously have never texted on the storm. Nothing can redeem yourself. You are forever believed by everyone as a fool. A true troll would want to be known as intelligent, because to truely piss people off you have to have some sort of comedic value or truth...all you do is state bb storm ftw. I really like you here, please keep making a fool of yourself.

Agreed. Godfather makes the most pointless comments OVER AND OVER AND OVER like a broken record. Get a life or valid comments, whichever comes first.

He is just a sheep. He is not an individual, he is a mindless drone.

Maybe they could release it already. That would be a start and a big step in getting folks to move back to Sprint. After all, what good is a free update if you have no phone to apply the updates on!
