The LG Ally will aim to take advantage of the hype, surrounding the Iron Man 2 movie, and will be available starting May 20. One of the interesting things about the LG Ally is that the manufacturer has developed an Augmented Reality app, which will be available for download to those who purchase the smartphone. Apparently, the app will try to imitate the Iron Man HUD, but will also provide some exclusive Iron Man 2 content.
The LG Ally will be powered by Android and will feature a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It is also said to pack a 1GHz Snapdragon chipset, 3.5-inch AMOLED screen and a 5MP camera with 720p video recording, but this is still not confirmed by LG.
According to previous information, the LG Ally should be available through Verizon Wireless, but a price is still not announced.
LG gives users the chance to win the "ultimate Iron Man 2 prize package", which consists of the LG Ally plus 1 year free service, 2 tickets to the U.S. premiere of a Marvel movie and a giant 55-inch class LG "Infinia" LED HDTV plus LG home theater system. All you have to do to enter the sweepstakes is to text LGIM2 to 95173.

If you were to choose a phone from verizon between the LG Ally or the Droid Incredible, which one would you pick?? I will start first, HTC Droid Incredible for me! Though the real QWERTY keyboard is nice, I still love Black / Red coloring from the Incredible. The most sadden part is I am a GSM user.... = (

According to a Rep from LG and from playing with the phone myself.....there is NO Snapdragon processor in this phone. LG for whatever reason put the Snapdragon processor in their new windows smartphone set to be released on 5/27. ( Sorry...I forget the name of the device)

Is the Ally really only going to be Rev-0? If it were a feature phone I wouldn't mind, but on a smartphone with 1gHz processor and if it has at least 256MB RAM, you will be able to tell a difference. At least the wifi shows up to N, that will compensate. My wife likes my incredible, doesn't like the DROID, but prefers a keyboard. This may be good for her. We'll see what the real specs are when it launches.

The phone almst looks exactly like the env touch. On the site I found out that it has a 3.2 inch screen and a 3.2 mp camera. Not too sure about the other specs but from the looks of things I wouldn't give up on the droid for it.
