Gresso announces new luxury phone made out of titanium

Luxury phone and accessories maker Gresso announced its latest product, the Meridian Diamond Edition. Described as balancing high-performance technology with sophisticated luxury materials, the smartphone presents an elaborate design. Each key is individually encrusted with a .1kt diamond and crafted from grade-5 titanium, while the body is made of titanium.

One variant features a titanium body with a stainless steel keyboard, while the other offers a black PVD titanium body and an 18k yellow gold keyboard. Available in a limited edition of 450 units, each Meridian Diamond takes up to 18 hours to assemble. Does this justify the $30,000 price tag? Well, that's surely a question of perspective. Pre-sales of the Meridian Diamond Collection will begin Dec. 26, 2016.

In October, Gresso revealed a reworked luxury iPhone 7 that features a black titanium body, engraved with geometric or paisley patterns and encrusted with eleven .01kt diamonds. It's making 999 models out of it, and the price starts from $5900. If you think this price falls at the lower spectrum of things, you may want to consider the $500,000 Black Diamond Edition iPhone 7. Its back panel is covered in 1450 black diamonds (totaling 102kts), while the body is re-crafted from premium grade-5 titanium. And that's pretty much how Gresso does its thing.
