Droid makes it to the Motorola site..sort of. Now with Video.
I guess Motorola didn't get the Memo, but their Droid phone hasn't been released yet. That didn't stop the phone from making an appearance on the Motorola site tonight, including device specs. So here's the rundown and highlights...Android 2.0 (Eclair) UI, HTML5 (Flash 10 support in 2010), EVDO Rev A, 3.7-inch 480x854 resolution TFT display, 550Mhz processor, 16GB microSDHC memory card pre-installed (supports up to 32GB), 5MP autofocus camera with dual LED flash, 720x480 at 24fps video recording, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 3.5mm headset hack, microUSB 2.0 port, and 1400mAh battery. The Droid will come in at 4.6"H x 2.4"W x 0.5"D (when closed) and weigh 6oz (169 grams).

Damn! That phone is as thick as an LG Dare....and it has a keyboard! That is damn sexy!

Well it's official...I believe I have found the replacement for my Storm! I haven't been too keen on moto devices in the past, but this looks EXTREMELY promising! Here's to hoping it turns out as great as it seems to be in pics and early videos!

the keyboard still looks awful very cramped, does not seem it will be good for typing for any size hands.

This looks pretty slick indeed! That is a lot great and promising features with what looks to be very solid specs . Too bad it did not list the Ram amount in the device(leaves some doubt ). I cant wait to see some reviews of it. Looking more like it may be my next phone when my upgrade comes up in a couple of months. Appears to have every feature Im missing in my Dare, now I jsut need to know how the call quality is and if it runs smooth with enough 'muscle' to not age before its time.

Honest question: Under Contacts, it alludes to an integration of GMAIL, Facebook, and other contacts. Does this mean them my "address book" or "contact list" in the Droid will populate the list and fields with the information pulled from the sources listed in the promotional materials????? Please & Thanks!

I believe it will sync your contacts of you want. I know my friends blackberry programmed all of his contacts picture from facebook when they call. Cool little extra if you ask me.

I wish there were another color combination besides "licorice w/ brown sugar accents," the black color is nice but I go do without the gold accents

Some good lookin' specs, only thing missing is internal RAM/ROM unless I missed it...
