Barack Obama says Steve Jobs is a symbol of the American Dream
Share:
"And something that's always been the greatest strength of America is a thriving, booming middle class, where everybody has got a shot at the American dream. And that should be our goal. That should be what we're focused on. How are we creating opportunity for everybody? So that we celebrate wealth. We celebrate somebody like a Steve Jobs, who has created two or three different revolutionary products. We expect that person to be rich, and that's a good thing. We want that incentive. That's part of the free market."
Just to remind you that recently Steve Jobs was declared "CEO of the decade" by MarketWatch and likened to Edison and Bell. What's your opinion, though - do you see Jobs as a role model to follow or the American president's words are "a little bit meh", as some people like to say.

"Expect to be Rich" what is that suppose to mean.lol Obama sees Jobs as more tax dollars he can take. I bet if we ask Obama what one of theses products are he could not name it without the help of his aids.lol

You really think that the President of the United States doesn't know what an iPhone or iPad is? Yea right...and Obama is just promoting a prosperous middle class which doesn't sound too bad to me so you should probably think before you insult our president LOL!

You're an idiot. If you had any common sense at all you would know that his comment "I bet if we ask Obama what one of theses products are he could not name it without the help of his aids" is referring to the fact that he needs a teleprompter to do anything. And here we go again with this "middle class" garbage. What about the lower class? What about the people who can actually create jobs? Open your mind up. It's not about one class succeeding. It's about everyone being able to succeed.

BAM!
Exactly.
Like you said, the guy cant hardly do anything without a teleprompter.
He has effectively made the most powerful nation "look a' fool" to the world.
He freakin high jacked our economy and quadrupled our deficit! And he didn't even start any new wars! I mean WTF!!! (not that I want any new wars).

Ya know, this is a "phone" web site..but if you must throw in political rhetoric dear "right wing" posters ... consider all the dumb shit Bush said WITH or WITHOUT a teleprompter. And now, back to phone discussions.

I never even said I was a bush supporter. You just assume obama haters are "right wing bush lovers" because you are just that narrow minded.
Politics effect the wireless world. Ever heard of the FCC???

Ya know smp, if you ain't with one party, you're with the other...unless you're one of those duchebags who'd rather complain about everything under the sun. The president gave kudos to a man for living the American dream and you post BS pertaining to the economy...a economy that was already in turmoil when he took office. And yes, I heard of the FCC. But I guess you will blame Obama for THAT too, especially when you're phone can't access porn sites due to FCC regulations...RETARD. Now, if you are finished posting, you may return to your parent's basement and finish caressing yourself with your phone.

Brikz,
You made a comment that this is a "phone website". I commented back saying that politics effects the cellular world. In fact the FCC directly effects what we can and can't do with our phones.
And brikz, our economy was having some serious issues before Obama. But seriously, look at the numbers. Bush left with approx 400,000,000,000 in debt. Obama came in and now it is 1,800,000,000,000 (and that was in less than a year after taking office). Which is over 4 times as high as Bush took it.
I am not posting BS. What I said about the economy is true. It was bad, but now its horrid. If you want to go look up those numbers, be my guest. They are on the internet for everyone to see.
I dont watch porn on my phone. So I personally dont mind if they take that away. But if you want to blame Obama for ruining your bathroom breaks at work, be my guest. And you would actually be able to blame him because I believe he has nominated 2 out of the 5 people in that administration.
Now, why dont you argue the actual points instead of using a straw man argument.... before I move on, you will probably need to go Google what a "straw man argument" is.
Now go ahead and TRY to argue the points. I know it can be difficult. But give it a shot. Go back and read this again if you need to. :)

I agree with you Ryry. even if he didnt know what one was, it's not wrong to ask for help and help one another. Some people just like to complain and act ignorant. What do you think of the ex. president bush...

People kill me. The President of the United States only praised Steve Jobs for making great products and that the sales of those products are great for the American economy. Everybody must pay taxes. But I dont think its right for Steve Jobs's secretary to be in a higher tax bracket than Steve Jobs himself. Taxes are meant to sustain our government. Other Senators and representatives from each party support taxes. The only difference is that each party wishes to tax one segment of the population more or less.
P.S. President Barack Obama is the President of the United States and deserves to be labeled and respected as such.

So other than writing words on a message board, what are you really doing to change things? Are you writing letters and calling your congress person. Are you gathering a group of people who feel exactly like you do... or are you just complaining from your computer chair?

How the hell does the iphone help the US? I have one but come on, it is build in asia!
How is his secretay in a higher bracket?
Taxes keep the gov't running, Running ie over spending, wasting, throwing money away.
He does NOT deserve any respect. NONE! and history will show him as one of the worst our country has had.

the iphone only helps the US by sales tax, all the manufacturing goes on in china. but hey, we keep voting idiot liberals that want to keep raising corperate taxes. we are the 2nd highest corperate tax rate in the world. if you could save a billion a year in pure profit by moving your headquarters, wouldnt u? Want to change that? Vote for someone that wants to LOWER taxes, not raise them. The more jobs that come TO america the more taxes that get paid over all.
Steve Jobs is a liberal control freak. He is a dictator that controls every fascit of his little world. Thats why obama loves him, he wants that kind of power over the rest of the US.
His secretary probably does pay a higher tax than he does. the TRUELY rich get paid off dividends and stocks which is taxed at a mere 15%. Only small business owners (S corps) and a very very small amount of people make 250k a year to be taxed at the highest rates. So next time you vote to "tax the rich" (who pay like 75% of all the taxes already), u are really voting for higher corperate taxes because of the sheer amount of S corps... which raises prices ON YOU, and sends more jobs OVER SEAS.
Politicians know that, and they know you DONT. You really think they would be voting to raise THEIR taxes? You think all these big billionaires like Gates, Jobs, and Oprah are really voting to have THEIR taxes raised when they try to convince u to vote Democrat??? if so you really are an idiot.
