Apple working on iTunes 11 with iCloud control
Share:
iTunes 11 is designed to support the upcoming iOS 6 release, but sources say that it will most likely not be released at the same time. Those familiar with the matter say that we will probably see another iTunes 10.x update that will add support for iOS 6. The iTunes 11 launch will occur further down the road.
9to5 Mac got their hands on a screenshot of the iTunes 11’s “About iTunes” screen and is also reporting that they have had the opportunity to see more of the product. iTunes 11 allegedly will sport a dedicated iCloud settings panel that is centrally located within iTunes. Some of the features purported to be included in this release will be iTunes Match, iTunes in the Cloud, iCloud iOS device backups, and more.

In mine opinion, iCloud and other "Clouds" sucks!

Step by step everything goes to the "Clouds" and sooner or later it will take away our "independence". Of course if you understand what i want to say. :/

Cloud is optional. You don't have to use it if you don't want. Btw android stores all your data on their servers so I hope you're not an android users if you hate clouds.

I agree, at the moment yes, but as I have said before, step by step, everything goes to the "Clouds" and in the future... who knows... :(

Cloud is optional, but Apple, as always is trying to completely replace hardware storage with iCloud instead of leaving it as an alternative. I won't be surprised if the iPhone 6 or 7 would actually come with only like 1GB of storage because they're trying to force everyone into using iCloud.

Have you heard of Chrome OS? It's googles idea for a computer with no storage where EVERYTHING is in the cloud.

Yeah, which is why it doesn't sell. But when Apple does it, suddenly it becomes the biggest thing since sliced bread.

yep its great for idiots who don't know how to back up the old fashioned way

I makes it easier for people to back up it has nothing to do with intelligence. There are way to many people out there who dont have the time. This is a nice alternative.

ya itunes could really use a fresh look.. i read it is supposed to be a major overhaul… i hope it lightens up a little… it seems like a fat application if that makes sense… like it takes the longest to load and lags more than any other app

Clouds mean that all your privacy is at the mercy of a third-party company and as we can see that today we can't 100% trust any company. I even not talk about technical disadvantages...

There are cloud services that are encrypted so the company that owns the servers can't see your data. iCloud does not work like that, but your assumption that the cloud and privacy/security don't go together is simply wrong.

If there is a lock then there must be a key for it!

More junk software that takes forever to download and install and afterwards dealing with a major resource hog with all it's processes and services running in the background. The applemobiledevice process uses 50% of your CPU and uses 20MB of RAM. Apple's software is junk and really not needed. It's bloated and is alot like the AOL software IMO.
