Apple already giving the green light to iOS 5 apps

Apple already giving the green light to iOS 5 apps
Apparently, the list of iOS 5-compatible apps in the Apple App Store has already started to grow. How do we know? Well, at least several apps have been spotted there with iOS 5 compatibility mentioned among their features. That includes the Mashable! app, which has it clearly written in its description and the Camera+ app, which cleverly makes a reference to “that upcoming OS That Must Not Be Named.”

So, now that we have a clue indicating that Apple is already approving iOS 5 apps, does that mean that the new firmware is launching alongside the iPhone 5? Although it does not quite guarantee that, seeing the next iPhone iteration launching with iOS 5 on board now sounds a bit more plausible. The majority of rumors indicate the the iPhone 5 will be launching as soon as next month so it might not be that long until we know for sure.

If you happen to come across other iOS 5-compatible apps, do not hesitate to let us know by dropping a comment.

I saw an app last week that was iOS 5 compatible; I just don't remember what it was called.

Wow! Compatable Apps for iRippedAndroid5! Maybe they will have an app called "iCopyAndroid" or "iStartLawsuits4ProtectionOfMyNextAndroidTheft". I love the "iAmOverPricedAndWorthless" app. Also the "iSellToSheep" app.

All amazing!

Damn right! In between listening to customers coming in to complain about all the problems with their iPhones, I like to come on here and remind people how s**tty society is since it pays these prices for such half assed tech. Really ruins the market, especially when Apple would rather sue and steal than actually be innovative or make a phone that can actually make a phone call properly for once.

Windows has been copying Apply designs for the last 8 years, you don't see me running to Technet blogs to bash them.... but I guess I have better things to do with my life, like work with the technology I own and try to enhance it from a user perspective. Maybe Awesomenews can start working on the security holes they keep finding on Android.

Don't get me wrong, I love that Google has taken on that product and they can do some amazing things with technology (obviously)... And I love how they are all about the open market. But why would anyone feel so strongly against Apple products? I guess ignorance feeds fear and ignorance.

By the way, didn't the first iPhone come out early 07 and the first Android come out late '08?? The only reason they came to market as early as 08 is because Google got involved and finally brought it to the market. So iCopyWho??

And I can't say a lot about the Droid as I have never owned one.... But if you just Google iPhone vs. Droid most of the articles I saw out there claimed iPhone performed better then droid in most head to head tests. That included data speed, voice quality, still camera, video camera, display and resolution, battery life, and processor. Android edged out in iOS overall and location services (nice), but the rest were trivial. Such categories as: audio playback (which is actually funny since Apple has revolutionized the media market), having hdmi out, and not much else. I think hdmi out is a nice option to have, but honest;y I have never really needed to attach my iPhone to a 42” TV. How good could that picture be? I guess I’d like to see it.

I hate the way Apple devices work with iTunes and purchasing media, I wish there was more of a free market. And I have lost data a few times when I was new to the iPhone and didn’t understand iTunes/iPhone sync. I have no idea if Droid has a better solution for backup and restore? But iCloud should resolve that issue, with anything under 5GB of data being free.
