Android developers will have the last chance to buy a Nexus One
Auction sites like eBay are your best portals if you're trying to track down the original Google Phone since it has been discontinued for purchase through their online web store. However, Android developers will have the magical key required to obtain a highly regarded Nexus One which is already going down in history as a collector's item. Google will allow registered Android developers to go ahead and purchase an unlocked Google Nexus One for $529 which will have Android 2.1 out of the box. However, Android 2.2 Froyo will commence to download as soon as you turn on the device and begin to get comfy with it. If you're not registered and still ache for a handset, you'd probably want to find a friend who is one or simply try your luck bargaining with someone.

I would have loved to have a Nexus one unlocked or otherwise, however paying full price for a phone when its not required is a bit rich for my blood. Especially when you dont have to, to get a good device.

I agree I would have liked to have had the option for a Nexus one for all carriers, although my incredible is superior, this is clean device, one defenatly worth keeping a full contract term.

How is your incredible superior? I would sooner take the nexus one.

Droid X all the way! Although I would love a N1 just to own.

At first I had doubts about buying the unlocked N1 version but after the 2.2 update it was all worth it! One thing Im still annoyed at is the tiny phone memory for most apps! Besides that love my N1 and Android! Ditched my iPhone and very happy for doing so.
