Everything about the Motorola Signature 27 display
A popular tech creator, Danny Winget, recently published a video in partnership with Motorola revealing almost everything there is to know about the Signature 27. Starting with the display, the device features a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo display that uses Tandem OLED and supports a 120 Hz refresh rate. Tandem OLED, in case you are not aware, is quite a popular idea that is usually used in laptops.
The recently unveiled Apple PROLED MacBook Pro uses it. It's really great to see it being used in a smartphone, as it will help in improving the contrast and brightness. It isn't that the technology is being used in a smartphone for the first time. The Honor Magic 6 RSR that was released in 2024 also comes equipped with it.
The flagship delivers 12,000 nits of peak brightness. Again, Motorola isn't the first to offer such an insane number in its device. The Huawei Mate 90 Pro also offers the same amount of peak brightness level.

Battery, camera, storage, and everything else
Talking about the battery capacity, Danny only mentioned that it's "sizable" instead of revealing the exact number. However, previous reports suggest that it could pack a 6,000 mAh cell. The surfaced images have already made it clear that the device is going to feature a triple camera setup at the back, whose configurations are 50 MP Lytia 910 main, 200 MP periscope telephoto, and 50 MP ultrawide.
Motorola Signature 27 will also have a dedicated action sensor that will help in capturing stable images of moving objects. It will come with 16 GB RAM and storage support of up to 1 TB. The phone is also promised to receive 7 years of OS updates and will come with Android 17 out of the box.
Danny also shared that the smartphone features a 40% larger vapor chamber, though in comparison to what was not mentioned. Volume and power buttons are placed on the top right, and there's also a dedicated AI button on the top left. Lastly, the Signature 27 will be available in two color options: Cool Smoke and the Pantone Capulet Olive.

Notably, both the options have a slightly different texture at the back. The Cool Smoke one has a "tactical weave finish." The Olive variant, on the other hand, has a "feathered-inspired finish."
There's a lot of excitement for the Motorola Signature 27
The upcoming flagship from Motorola is surely a device many users are looking forward to. Some are impressed with its design, while others are really liking its killer specifications. One Reddit user commented under a relevant post that they really liked the unique design of the Signature 27.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is getting a new competitor
In numbers, the Motorola Signature 27 looks really ahead of the Galaxy S26 Ultra in certain areas. For instance, the Samsung flagship runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gen 5 built on 3 nm. The upcoming Motorola device is powered by the latest 2 nm based Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 SoC.
The Motorola phone appears to be better in the battery and display department as well. However, it's worth noting the real winner between the two would only be decided when the Signature 27 becomes publicly available and everything it offers is tested and compared with the Galaxy S26 Ultra in real life. Thankfully, we won't have to wait for much longer, as the device is coming out on November 5th.
