Is the 2023-released Apple Watch Ultra 2 the absolute best smartwatch money can buy at the very end of 2025? Obviously not, at least after the recent launch of an improved Apple Watch Ultra 3 with built-in satellite communications, an enlarged screen, and enhanced battery life, but as you can imagine, those upgrades don't come cheap.
And while Apple's latest rugged timepiece is currently stuck at its extravagant $799 list price after scoring a decent $100 discount on and around Black Friday, its similarly robust predecessor can be had for as little as $529.

GPS, Bluetooth, Cellular Connectivity, Always-On Retina Display with Up to 3000 Nits of Brightness, Apple S9 Processor, 1000m Water Resistance, Double Tap Gesture, ECG, Blood Oxygen Sensor, Sleep Apnea Detection, High and Low Heart Rate Notifications, Irregular Rhythm Alerts, Temperature Sensing, Fall Detection, Crash Detection, Siren, Up to 36 Hours of Battery Life, 49mm Titanium Case, Black, Black Ocean Band, Apple Certified Preowned, 1-Year Manufacturer Warranty Included
That still doesn't bring the Apple Watch Ultra 2 into conventionally affordable territory, but... it's close. The "mainstream" Apple Watch Series 11, for instance, normally costs... you guessed it, $529 in a 46mm size with standalone cellular connectivity, and as you're probably already aware, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 lets you make and receive voice calls on your wrist as well.
Because that $270 price cut is pretty extreme (especially for a post-Black-Friday-and-Cyber-Monday deal), you shouldn't be surprised to find out that there's a "catch" to Woot's new limited-time promotion (scheduled to end on Saturday, December 6).

Specifically (and predictably enough), you're not looking at brand-new units here, but rather pre-owned devices. That sounds bad, I know, but the "certified preowned" smartwatches on sale at $529 a pop do come with a full 1-year manufacturer warranty, as well as original Apple Watch packaging, an original OEM charger in the box, and the promise of not just flawless functionality, but "essentially brand new" cosmetic condition too.
With a super-strong (and almost surprisingly handsome) black titanium case, a matching black Ocean band, a customizable Action button, state-of-the-art dual-frequency GPS connectivity, extra-tough sapphire front crystal, industry-leading 100m water resistance, and pretty much all the health monitoring tools you could ever need (including hypertension notifications), it simply doesn't look like you can find a better value proposition on the market today. Just hurry, because Woot is likely to run out of inventory before December 6.
