Nokia 6555 is a stylish mid-level

Lately, we notice the efforts of the manufacturer to differentiate their phones by the way they look. Integrated camera, memory slot and multimedia players are not key features anymore when it comes to mid-level phones, because almost all offer them. But the manufacturers are trying to attract attention with the design. Motorola is probably the best in this with its KRZR-like entry-levels, similar in design to the more expensive models but offered at a fraction of their cost.

Nokia have offered hi-end stylish phones like the 8910, 8800 and the 8600 Luna and now with the 6555 targets the mid-level market. Like the 6300 it is a Series 40 GSM but supports 3G (850 and 2100 MHz) for use in both Europe/Asia and in America, with clamshell design and rounded curves. Its feature-set is nothing impressive and will include 1.3 mega-pixel camera, dual-color displays and microSD memory slot.

The Nokia 6555 is expected to launch in September, for ~$270 (EUR200) before taxes.
