New and improved Galaxy Fold gets its first hands-on review by... Samsung

Samsung's new and improved Galaxy Fold is scheduled for release tomorrow, at least in Korea, and Samsung just announced its 5G version as we were sitting during its keynote presentation at the IFA 2019 expo.

As if to showcase that all is well when it ends well, Samsung just issued its own Galaxy Fold hands on, detailing the design, the folding process, the unique multitasking abilities and everything that is worth knowing about the handset.

It will be released on September 6th in Korea, and then trickle down to places like US, China and Europe at a sub-$2000 starting price. We shudder to think what the 5G version that Samsung just flashed us with from stage is going to cost, but we are sure all will be revealed in due course.

The US release date is tentatively pegged for September 28, but we are waiting for an official announcement from Samsung on that.

Review by Samsung? come on galaxy fold is a dead device. No one would buy such an impractical device on second launch which was a total failure already on first launch. It can never be a premium phone (like iPhone XS) with that Failure tag on it.

I am former Samsung user so can’t be called an isheep. I just know that Samsung can’t fool the rich. It was going in the right direction with S6 edge and their premium image they finally got. But now they are just trying to fool people into buying such a useless device over the amazing iPhones. Well, not gonna happen. It’s just an impractical S10

With just 1 milion devices produced they won't have problems selling them. They have huge fanbase

I guaranteed the Galaxy Fold will be sold out. However, the AirPower is a real failure.

I hear the 5g model won't be coming to the states. If true, I think it's pretty much DOA in the US. 2 grand and no 5g... seriously?

US lags in 5g infrastructure. So why realease a more expensive model, yet have it be mostly crippled? People thought bag phones were gonna be doa in the early 80s. Did that happen? Take in account inflation, and those adopters paid roughly the same. Low and behold they evovled, and got smaller and smaller, and its where we're at now. This is the next evolution, and its gonna cost at first. Business 101.
