Latest Pokemon GO update fixes iPhone 6 crashes, brings back Team Instinct's leader

Niantic, the US company behind Pokemon GO smash hit, had a terrible week last month. But, since a real-life event shouldn't stop the development process, Niantic announced that a new update is now available for Pokemon GO players.

Although the update doesn't bring any new features into the mix, it focuses on some weird issues that Pokemon GO players have experienced lately. One of the hilarious bugs affecting the game for a while involves Spark, the leader of Pokemon GO's Team Instinct.

For some reason, Spark disappeared from the game's Appraisal tool and was replaced with Team Valor head Candela, which most likely confused members of Team Instinct. The bug was first found about two weeks ago, and the new update should fix it for everyone.

Also, the update is supposed to address an issue that was causing iPhone 6 devices to crash in some instances. Hopefully, there will be no more sudden crashes after the update. We're listing the rest of the changes below:

  • Resolved a motivation decay bug impacting Pokémon with less than 3,000 CP;
  • Resolved a bug causing Pokémon GO to freeze after consuming Potions too quickly;
  • Resolved a bug causing Pokémon GO to freeze after all six Pokémon faint during a Raid Battle.

Pokemon GO players looking to fix the issues above should update to version 0.69.1 if they own an Android device or 1.39.1 in case they play on iOS.
