Apple confirms October 30 iPad Pro event; starts sending out invites
Over the past month, numerous reports have pointed towards a second hardware event by Apple at the end of October. This morning, the world’s most valuable company confirmed that these reports are indeed accurate by announcing that it will be taking to the stage in Brooklyn, New York on October 30.

The invite itself states that “there’s more in the making” and, rather unsurprisingly, accompanies the Apple logo. But oddly enough, not all invites are the same. Rather than sticking to just one take on the logo, Apple appears to have created a wide range of different designs which seemingly hint at the new level of creativeness that will be possible with the new Apple Pencil 2.

This updated stylus is currently expected to be unveiled alongside an updated iPad Pro line, which will now be offered in 11-inch and 12.9-inch sizes. The former slightly bigger than the previous model, while the larger device maintains the size display diagonal. However, due to the new all-screen design that will do away with the iconic home button, the overall dimensions of each tablet are set to be smaller than those of their predecessors.

In addition to the new design, the iPad Pro models are expected to be powered by a new Apple A12X Bionic chip and boast a USB Type-C connector. Also, a new magnetic connector on the rear is expected to join Face ID up front. After all, with the removal of the home button, Apple will also remove Touch ID.
