More RAM... like, 3 GB's instead of the 2 GB's it was built with... the phone would be perfectly fine with just that change, I think, and I would have no problem keeping it for a third, maybe even a fourth year. And... that would make the phone (Samsung Galaxy A11) able to achieve an annualized cost at or just under $30 per year (I bought it from Cricket online for a one-time price of $110 - a little on the expensive side for my tastes, but otherwise it's been a decent phone right up until most recently).

Previous three Android phones were a pair of Moto's and an LG, all from Cricket stores, averaging $33.33 for 19 months, or an annualized cost of just about $21 a year for 57 months of use...

1) No crappy 2mp 5mp cameras just for the sake of calling it a triple camera of quad camera setup.

2) No ads at all.

3) No bloatware at all. Only the apps provided by google that too with an option to uninstall them if needed.

I just need a compact phone with premium flagship camera specs.

I know its hard but I would love a sub 6.3" smartphone with a periscope lens (don't mind if it doesn't have an ultrawide shooter)

I recently bought the galaxy s23 ultra. I moved from a pixel 7 pro. I like them both a lot. I got the galaxy s23 ultra because it was supposed to have some of the best camera censors. But I am not impressed, unless there is great lighting the pictures are grainy and blurry. I think part of that is the shutter lag. So if I could change one thing about my s23, it would be to bring over the camera from the pixel 7 pro.

I downloaded Google Camera app on my mid-range Moto phones. It was a life-changer for me. I would think you could do that with your s23. Look up Gcam.

You've got me intrigued there. Please elaborate on point 2. I don't think there are ads baked into any first-party phone software, but I might be wrong... Normally, I see those in third-party apps.

Have you considered the Xperia 5 lineup? The Mark III model is 6.1 inches and has a periscope zoom lens with variable focal length - 70mm and 105mm. It might be the perfect phone for you...
