Whatever phone I use, I want to be able to download Gcam. I used that on two of my mid-range Motos and it improved the camera performance tremendously. My Samsung A53 doesn't support shooting raw photos wihout changing its software, and that's over my head. I was so disappointed I almost returned this phone. But the comparable Moto was too expensive, and my last Motos only lasted a couple of years before they died.

I appreciate the better build, brighter screen, and superior water resistance of the A53, but it can be nonresponsive to tapping, and I miss the Moto gestures. Also, I prefer vanilla Android.

I also would like the S pen of the Ultra. I would love to draw and paint on my phone. I enjoyed the stylus on the first Moto Stylus, but it was basic, of course.

I miss the headphone jack.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to order a customized phone? Just check off all the stuff you want and have it cost about $300.00. Well, really, about $150.00. I like to dream cheap.

Let's see: that's one times eight.

  1. I would get rid of the annoying “battery at 20%” and “battery at 10%” notifications
  2. get rid of Two-Step verification for signin to Apple ID services.
  3. Ability to have the option to remove photos from camera roll folder when moved to a different photo folder in photos app.
  4. even though you do t need iTunes anymore - it’ll be nice if they revamp it to be like some third party file managers for iPhone/PC - so you can easily see what’s on your phone and what’s not and be able to move everything in between like music, photos, videos, files. It’s kind of like that now but it’s using iCloud files protocol - would like the same thing directly - maybe merge files/camera roll/music together or something.

That's a long list right there. I might sound like an Android fanboy but... have you tried Android?

Summary from Day 1: One of the most requested changes concerns the battery of the Galaxy S-series. You guys want less idle drain and more battery life overall, which is pretty understandable. There are a couple of shouts in favor of a more compact form factor; I'm pleasantly surprised (compact phones for the win!), and also some of you want better under-display fingerprint sensors (again, I understand; that's the reason I stick with the physical capacitive ones).

I thought there would be more demand for the return of the microSD card slot, but apparently, onboard storage seems to be enough for pretty much everybody. Nobody mentioned a 3.5mm audio jack in their wish list, so I guess the Bluetooth headphones have finally won that battle (but not the war, hopefully).

Camera systems on the back that make sense—check! No more 2MP depth sensors, 5MP macro cameras, 8MP monochrome sensors etc. Let's see if you guys can come up with other cool improvements on Day 2!

I had both a P30 pro and a P40 pro and I much preferred my P40 pro

I had a Pro+, the 10x was next to useless while the 3x obviously had less reach than the 5x on the P30 Pro.

The 40 Pro+ was a lovely phone but it's camera was hobbled, the standard Pro was the better choice. Without Google I couldn't keep it anyway.

Yeah, maybe this "compact fling" isn't working for Asus, which is a shame, really. I somehow hoped the Zenfone 10 would be an evolution, bringing better cameras, wireless charging, and maybe a brighter screen. Maybe I'll turn my gaze toward Sony and hope for the best :) The Xperia 5 V could be a decent device for fans of compact phones, despite the name ;)

I've tried Sony.

I'm no photographer and I just want a camera that works, the 1 iii I had was actually pretty good on auto, until is wasn't when you really needed it.

But it was Sony's shoddy software with continuously unfixed bugs that actually drove me away.

Remove buggy performance of my Galaxy S23 face ID and fingerprint reader.

I'd try saving your fingerprints again. I personally haven't had any problems with my fingerprint reader.

Love the folding phones and enjoying ZF3. Reducing weight, integrating spen (should also work on cover screen), increasing battery capacity and increasing width when closed are the things that will make this awesome. Crease is not a problem for me.

Yes, there are multiple more items I would like to remove from android than iOS!

if you notice - my list is about removing things not adding. Android is a clusterf… of options and features that I’d like to have out of my way. Also except for the first one on my list I can fix the others by using third party apps (some I do). Would be nice to have native apps do that.
