Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to have Swarovski edition and a new case from... HTC?
If you thought that the Swarovski strap for the Samsung Gear S that was unveiled yesterday was a bit much, get ready for even more ridiculousness from Samsung. For those who want to be as ostentatious as possible (or want to match their blinged-out Gear S), Samsung will be offering the Galaxy Note 4 with a Swarovski crystal back.
The Swarovski version of the Note 4 will come in sparkly silver and glittering gold (alliteration ours). As yet, Samsung has not announced when this special version of the Note 4 will be available, nor how much it will cost. But, since the Swarovski Gear S is planned for October, it would make sense that would be when the crystal Note 4 would come out as well. As for the price, we would guess somewhere in the range of "a lot".
It appears that this will not be a case, but the actual back to the Note 4, so you probably won't want to buy this if you are one who usually puts a case on your device, unless you only want to impress yourself with the Swarovski. If you do want a case for your Note 4, Samsung has the same options as before with the S View Cover, Flip Wallet, and S View Wallet, but there is also a new option - the LED Cover. At first glance, you might think the LED Cover is actually HTC's Dot View, but it isn't. It's just a shameless "inspiration".
